Pediatric Care

Many people ask why an infant or child who doesn't have neck or back pain needs to see a chiropractor. Our answer:"Why wouldn't you want your child to have the foundation for wellness they deserve?"

Habits and posture, whether good or bad, are formed at a very young age...in the womb. The birthing process and common childhood traumas can put unwanted stress on the child's spine and developing nervous system. These stressors cause misalignments in the spine leading to common ailments such as infantile colic, ear infections, asthma, ADHD, bed wetting, and more. Chiropractic care is a safe, natural treatment that aims in correcting interference in the nervous system and allowing the body the chance to heal on its own.It has also been proven beneficial for sleep, behavior, attitude, and immune function.

Dr. Jenna has taken it upon herself to pursue her certification in pediatrics through the International Chiropractic Pediatric Association (ICPA). She has participated in 150+ hours of training beyond the regular required chiropractic course work.

Pregnancy Care

During pregnancy, a woman's center of gravity shifts forward to the front of her pelvis. This additional weight in front, causes stress to the joints of the pelvis and low back. As the baby grows in size, the added weight causes the curvature of her lower back to increase, placing extra stress on the fragile facet joints on the back side of the spine. Any pre-existing problems in a woman's spine tend to be exacerbated, as the spine and pelvis become overtaxed, often leading to pain and difficulty performing normal daily activities.

Studies have found that about half of all expectant mothers develop low-back pain at some point during their pregnancies. This is especially true during the third trimester when the baby's body gains the most weight. Chiropractic care throughout pregnancy can relieve and even prevent the pain and discomfort frequently experienced in pregnancy, and creates an environment for an easier, safer delivery. It is one safe and effective way to help the spine and pelvis cope with the rapid increase in physical stress by restoring a state of balance. In fact, most women have found that chiropractic care helped them avoid the use of pain medications during their pregnancy, and studies have shown that chiropractic adjustments help to reduce time in labor. Your chiropractor should be your partner for a healthy pregnancy. They can provide adjustments, as well as offer nutritional, ergonomic and exercise advice to help address your special needs.

Here at Fore Chiropractic & Wellness, we are passionate about the prenatal population. We strive to ensure a comfortable pregnancy for our patients. Dr. Jenna is certified in the Webster Technique. The Webster Technique is a specific chiropractic sacral analysis and diversified adjustment. The goal of the adjustment is to reduce the effects of sacral subluxation/ SI joint dysfunction. In doing so, neuro-biomechanical function in the pelvis is facilitated.

Sacral subluxation may contribute to difficult labor for the mother (i.e., dystocia), caused by inadequate uterine function, pelvic contraction, and baby mal-presentation. Correction of sacral subluxation may have a positive effect on all of these causes of dystocia.

CranioSacral Therapy Services

Our physical body works non-stop to keep us functioning as best it can in response to information received.  Results depend upon available resources. CranioSacral therapy, focused on our central nervous system, is a powerful external resource available to help us achieve higher levels of health, freedom and balance.

Information travels throughout our body via a matrix of connective tissue.   This matrix, the network of cranial and peripheral nerves, and the flow of cerebrospinal fluid enable the therapist to palpate and work with restrictions in our body.  By helping us release restriction, especially in and around the spine and head, CranioSacral therapy helps the body heal and rebalance itself as fluid and energy flow are improved.

Since CranioSacral therapists release restrictions in and around the head, it is especially useful in situations like tongue-tie, plagiocephaly, nursing difficulty, crooked teeth, migraine, or tmj issues.  It has beautiful application in brain trauma such as concussion, assisted birth, memory loss, or learning/developmental disorders.  It can be the missing piece that helps us to overcome nervous system disorders and imbalances such as sciatica, carpal tunnel, PTSD, depression, or insomnia.

CranioSacral therapy is complementary with other treatment methods and works well alongside chiropractic care.  A healthier central nervous system means a healthier you!

DR. JENNA FORE — CHIROPRACTOR/FOUNDER

Dr. Jenna grew up in the small town of Brook Park, MN. She has a passion for treating the pediatric and pre/postnatal populations.  As an infant, Jenna suffered from colic and ear infections.  She found relief in both conditions with regular chiropractic treatments. As she grew older, she realized the importance of regular chiropractic care for the overall health and wellness of the body. This natural form of care became even more important as she participated in cross-country running, basketball, track, and motocross racing.

Dr. Jenna is a 2012 graduate of Northwestern Health Sciences University in Bloomington MN, where she earned her Bachelor's in Human Biology and Doctor of Chiropractic degree. Dr. Jenna is Webster Technique certified and is working towards the fulfillment of her certification in chiropractic pediatrics through the International Chiropractic Pediatric Association.  Having a nurturing and loving personality, she always knew she wanted to provide children with the same high-quality and effective care that she was so lucky to receive as a young child.

Dr. Jenna is also a Graston Technique certified provider.  Graston Technique uses stainless steel instruments to effectively break down scar tissue and inflammation that cause pain and restricted mobility.

While attending chiropractic school, Dr. Jenna participated in a mission trip to treat under-served patients in Costa Rica. This 4-week trip was an opportunity that forever changed the way she treats her patients. She believes that every person is unique and deserves to be evaluated and treated in their own unique way. For this reason, Dr. Jenna utilizes a variety of chiropractic techniques to ensure the best possible outcome for her patients.

In her free time, Dr. Jenna enjoys spending time outdoors with her husband, 2 daughters and son, relaxing at their family cabin, and baking new, healthy recipes.
